Information Gathered/Tracked by BlastInvest, LLC

BlastInvest, LLC gathers two types of data about users: (a) personal information that individual users provide through registration as subscribers to one of our subscription , through our payment processor Paypal, and voluntarily at certain other points; and (b) tracking information, which is automatically collected about every visitor to the sites, both subscribers and nonsubscribers.

Personal Information
Personal information is gathered in several ways, which are set forth generally below.
First, when a user registers for free public testing subscription to Blast Investor Real-time Plus or Insider Buying, he or she is required to provide his Yahoo ID or email address through our newsletter provider Yahoo group service.  Second, if a free-trial subscriber decides to subscribe to our paid subscription, in addition to the foregoing information, a credit card (number, type and expiration date) and billing address are needed to process the transaction and a Paypal account will be required to be setup. At their option, subscribers may provide us with their home and/or business telephone numbers as well. • Free Services 
  Currently we do not require membership to access our free content at blastinvest.com. However, if you would like to receive one or more of our free newsletters, such as BlastInvest eGazette, BlastInvest Insider Buying,  you are required to provide us your email and your name.
  

• Premium Services
  If you'd like access to one or more of our premium subscription-based services,  you first must register as a member of BlastInvest.com, you will have to provide us your name and mailing address, and then you'll have to pick a unique User Name and password.  Since Paypal is our payment processor,  a Paypal account will be required as well. You may be required to provide Paypal additional credit card information. • Message Boards and Chats
  We provide message boards and chats for discussion of various topics through value-investing-forum.com. Any user may read or write messages to  the boards. No additional personal information is required to post on the boards, but participants are asked in the interests of accountability, honesty and informed dialogue to include their full names in any posting, as well as any positions they have in stocks being discussed. Please note that information you post to a message board or chat will be available for any user to read, and is no longer private. 
• Surveys/Polls
  At certain times, users who have registered for free-trial subscriptions may be asked to participate in surveys, which are generally aimed at obtaining general information about our subscribers, for example, their investment experience or their reactions to a particular article. Because information obtained in these surveys is connected with individual subscribers and is used internally to better market our services, participation is voluntary.
• Offers
  We may from time to time forward information to you regarding third party products or services. Such mailings will be distributed by BlastInvest, LLC. and will not involve disclosure of your personal information to third parties, except as may be necessary to our contractors or other agents as described more fully below. You may request not to receive such information by emailing customer service at help@blastinvest.com.

Tracking Information

Tracking data consists of both individual and aggregated tracking information and is automatically gathered using "cookies".

• Web Access Tracking
  Because of the way that World Wide Web communication standards work, when you arrive at or leave the BlastInvest site, we automatically receive the Web address of the site that you came from or are going to.

  We also track IP address of each BlastInvest member when member login into our paid access area (BIRTP service, etc).
  


• What is a "cookie"?
  A cookie is a small data file containing information, such as a user's login name, that is written to the user's hard drive by a web server and used to track the pages visited. Cookies used by BlastInvest.com, LLC. are encoded and contain a unique digital signature to prevent tampering. They do not contain user passwords. The individual information gathered in this manner is used for internal purposes only, such as affiliate program tracking. We also use the information on an aggregate basis, to track the readership of stories and usage of our products, to analyze traffic patterns on our sites, and to provide anonymous reporting of usage for internal and external clients.

Use of the Information

BlastInvest, LLC uses information obtained from its users as stated in this Privacy Policy, and to enhance users' experiences on our sites. BlastInvest does not sell or disclose any personal information to any third parties, except when we believe in good faith that the law requires it, to protect other users of BlastInvest services, or to respond to an emergency. Information is also disclosed if the subscriber has given permission, for example by voluntarily entering a Poll.

We also use  use web access tracking or membership IP tracking information for BlastInvest copyright or term of use enforcement purposes.

• We provide the information on a confidential basis to nonaffiliated companies we engage as contractors or agents to perform services for us, such as maintaining software, sending direct mail or administering a sweepstakes or contest. Information will be shared with such contractors only to the extent reasonably necessary for them to perform services on our behalf, and pursuant to confidentiality obligations.
• In response to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, from law enforcement agencies or state and federal regulators.
• We reserve the right to transfer any information that we have collected to a third party in the event that we sell or otherwise transfer substantially all of our assets related to BlastInvest.com, Blast Investor Real-time Plus, or any other website which we own or operate.

Disclosures for Joint Marketing and Servicing

BlastInvest may disclose all the information we collect as described above to other companies such as direct marketers to perform marketing services on our behalf, or to financial institutions, such as banks, insurance companies and securities broker-dealers, with whom we have joint marketing agreements.

Other Uses

• Free Newsletters
  If you signed up with our free newsleters, you automatically receive various email updates that we send out on weekly or monthly basis containing selected notices, stock analysis, together with some advertisements and hyperlinks to our sites. Any subscriber who wishes to be removed from the mailing lists of one or more of these updates can do so by clicking unsubscribe link provided at the email update.
• Premium Services
  If you're a subscriber, we use your email address, postal address or fax number, as applicable, to deliver our premium products and services. 

Correcting the Information

BlastInvest offers to its members the ability to correct or update online the information we collected during registration by visiting the Account Information page.

Our outsourced payment processor Paypal offers subscribers the ability to correct or update payment information Paypal collects during subscription through BlastInvest. This can be done by visiting the Paypal.com Account Information.

Security

BlastInvest, LLC uses reasonable security methods to protect the data that resides on our servers. However, no security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee the security of our servers, nor can we guarantee that information that users supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted to us over the Internet.
